Recovery is your number one priority post birth, and I sincerely hope you are spending your first few days in bed. These pajamas are comfortable, unbutton easily for nursing, and are dark colored in case of any overflow bleeding.

Tucks are great for hemorrhoid care, but also for promoting healing for any stitches or swelling post birth.

Whether you birth vaginally or by cesarean, expect moderate to heavy bleeding for your first week postpartum. If you don’t want to have to worry about leaking, disposable underwear is a great option.

Postpartum bleeding can continue for up to a month, and sometimes longer. Keep a good stash of heavy absorbency pads on hand.

Dermoplast can help numb sensitive vaginal tissue. Use it liberally any time you use the bathroom.

Peri bottles are essential for post birth trips to the bathroom. I like this one especially because it has an angled spout, which allows easier access and use.

An ice pack on your healing perennial tissue can be a lifesaver. These are fast and mess free!

Having disposable underwear on hand post birth can be a lifesaver. There’s less laundry and you don’t have to worry about staining your favorite pairs. These are high waisted so won’t irritate a healing belly or cesarean scar.

A sitz bath soak is a soothing and healing prospect. This one is filled with natural pain relievers and skin soothers. Soak in your bathtub or use a toilet topping sitz bath.

If you don’t have a tub or just don’t want to take the time to fill one all the way, this toilet-topper sitz bath will do the trick!

Good postpartum nutrition is important, but it’s also a good idea to acknowledge your hard work and treat yourself a little bit.

Hydration is vital to recovery and establishing breastfeeding. Encourage your continued rest with a soothing cup of tea with honey while you snuggle your new baby.
