Do You Feel Calm, Confident, & Excited About Your Birth?
Maybe this is your first baby, or maybe your previous birth experiences left a lot to be desired.
You Know You Want To:
Feel Safe & Secure
Learn as much as you can about birth and all your options
Build a birth plan and care team that you’re confident in
Make sure your partner is equally supported
Remove fear from the equation
Hi, I’m Christine.
i provide my clients with the tools to create beautiful and empowering birth experiences.
I hear all the time, “The only thing that matters is a healthy Mom and a healthy Baby.”
Respectfully, that is an incredibly low bar.
Are a healthy mom and healthy baby important? Absolutely.
Are they the ONLY things that are important? Absolutely not.
So what else is there?
Choice. Autonomy. Informed Consent. Trauma-Free Experiences. Retaining Agency. Communication.
These are all vital pieces of a positive birth experience, and they all work together.
Imagine holding your new baby and telling your family and friends:
“I was supported and in control of all of my choices.”
“I knew all of my options and I was confident in advocating for my desires.”
“Even when we had to pivot from my original plan, I knew I was doing the right thing.”
“My team had my back and helped me the whole time.”
“That was amazing.”
When you want:
Easy access to answers to all your pregnancy questions and concerns
Thorough birth education (including all the things the books—and sometimes doctors—leave out!) so you can be confident in your choices
Assistance in building a stellar birth team that is set up to support your laboring in the way you envision
Encouragement and a helping hand for your partner
Experienced and compassionate support for the duration of your birth
Strong advocacy to help with any necessary changes in your birth plan
From someone who:
Can easily translate medical jargon and will always tell the truth in plain language
Encourages and facilitates partner involvement in all aspects of the birth
Navigates complicated situations with confidence (usually with a Dr. Pepper in hand)
Is experienced with hospital policy, staff, and procedures
Is calm, patient and understanding, but never misses a chance to laugh
Has zero hesitations about advocating for you
Will not leave your side
call today.
I can’t wait to hear all about your plans and how I can support them.
Let’s raise the bar of birth expectations.
Together.

I have a great guest blog post by Abigail Jorgenson HERE all about partner support.
I am committed to supporting both parents, and to not getting in the way when things are working well with just the two of you. Think of it like a massage train: I help Dad, so Dad can help Mom. And if extra support is needed, I’m happy to add to the mix, but my goal is never to replace your partner or remove him from the equation.
Here’s what one Father I’ve worked with had to say:
“As a husband, when my wife told me she wanted to have a doula for the birth of our child I was initially a little apprehensive. I wasn’t entirely sure what it would be like having another person in the delivery room. Fortunately, my concerns were soon put at ease. Christine at Draw Near Doula was wonderful, a consummate professional that helped us navigate the pregnancy and delivery.
Her knowledge and kindness helped make it so I could focus on being there for my wife during labor. She was a pillar of support for my family and I’m so grateful we had her there with us.
Fast forward a few years and Christine has now been there for the birth of two of my children. If you’re a father or soon to be one and questioning the need for a doula, listen to your wife and hire Christine…you won’t regret it.” —Zach H -
I have an amazing team of backup doulas, in case of coinciding births or any kind of emergency on my part. If I am unable to attend your birth for whatever reason, you will not be left without support.

Generally, I take between 3-4 clients per calendar month. However, depending on where the due dates fall in any particular month, as well as the months before and after, I may take less.
